To promote participation of Vietnamese-American/Canadian students in volunteerism in the Vietnamese community in their locality, Atom Electronic will award one $500.00 scholarships and Vietnamese American/Canadian Scholarship Fund (VASF) will award two $500.00 scholarships to assist students in need of financial aid for attending LEN DUONG Camp 2004.
Applicants must be college students or senior in high school whose GPA is 3.00 or above on the 4-point scale. College students must take at least 9 hours per semester.
Applicant must be active in a Vietnamese community organization or Vietnamese Student Association at the local city.
Submit an application (form attached).
Submit an essay about the topic “What Vietnam means to you? Why are you active with the Vietnamese community and what is your plan to contribute to Vietnam in the future?”
One letter of recommendation from the Vietnamese-American/Canadian institute/organization in which the students have volunteered in the past years.
Transcript of last semester.
Applicants must participate in an interview via telephone.
Scholarship fund will be sent to awarded applicants upon verification of official registration from Len Duong Camp organizing committee.
